The number of people living in the U.S. who are considering moving to Australia has risen sharply, as uncertainty over the hotly contested presidential election spurs some to consider leaving. In July, U.S.-based searches for Aussie homes for sale rose 51% from a year earlier, according to data from Australia-based real estate analytics firm [PropTrack](https://www.realestate.com.au/insights/proptrack-overseas-search-report-august-2024/).
