13 Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade photos on the rainy streets of New York

The 98th edition of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade was as good as ever.

I’ve watched the parade for as long as I can remember, and it’s rarely rained. But Thursday, from beginning to end, it was one rainy adventure as Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb guided viewers through the hours-long show, packed with so many floats , lovely performances and tons of iconic balloons .

Truthfully, I held my breath, hoping that nothing drastic would happen during the parade, and I’m proud to say that outside of a brief Bluey balloon snafu , all was well. (Although Cynthia Erivo settled Wicked’s singing debate during a mid-parade appearance, and some folks might be distraught about that.) Amazingly, a few brave photogs captured some awesome raindrop-filled photos you need to see.
